Slowly unwinding all my faults
And fabricating something human from it all
Fears feigned from insecurity,
Hold the ropes that are binding me.
And sands, they bury tired dreamers eyes.
Will persistent dreams survive?
When will these hopes cease to fall?
And lights give way to show us who we are.
When will the dust shake from my skin,
Whose bones have I been living in?
We move like currents through the ocean,
With no regard to what could happen
Why do we abandon things we feel
In search of a life that seems surreal
Maybe the key is the hope and will to be something.
Am I alive?
And suddenly, something stirs from within
A burning desire to begin again.
And suddenly, I realize that I'll never know the answers to anything
And for once, I find myself at peace.
I will keep moving forward
For the sake of my sanity, for the sake of my happiness.
We all deserve so much better
And it all begins with the will to start over.
